Development Features

The educational goal of the college is to cultivate high-quality Electrical Engineering talents with "professional know-how, humanistic concern, and international outlook." The college has cooperated with the plans of the Ministry of Education to construct the curriculum map of the departments and the platform of students' learning process. We actively promoted the project production, encouraging students to participate in the project competition. The industry Ph. D. The program has been established, and the entire college has a complete talent cultivation system from a bachelor's degree, master's degree to Ph. D. degree. In recent years, NCUT has co-operated with the government's southward policy, actively recruiting students from Southeast Asia. At present, there are international students from Vietnam, Indonesia, mainland China, Mongolia, Africa, and other countries enrolled in NCUT. Besides, the IS3C international symposium, which was established by the college in 2012, is very helpful in building the international visibility of the university. In the future, the symposium will have more opportunities to be held in other Asian countries, which is expected to enhance the international reputation of NCUT. However, in the face of the competition of the colleges of EECS in other universities, we must integrate and make good use of the manpower and equipment resources of the college based on the excellent foundation established by the former three deans. To enhance the quality and quantity of teaching, research, and cooperation, and to actively integrate with the world. The specific approach is as follows:

Teaching Orientation

  • In line with the policies of the school and government, we strive for funding to strengthen the laboratories and research labs, improving the teaching and R & D Environment.
  • To enhance the information content of the college's website and promotional information about courses, teaching, and equipment resources.
  • In line with government policies and industry needs, we adjust the specialized courses and fields of each department. Students are encouraged to pursue their studies in the areas of green energy, electrical and mechanical control, computer applications, energy and communication management, IC design, optoelectronic communication, bioinformatics, image processing, network information security, and microcomputer applications, enabling students to acquire basic professional knowledge in a specific field.
  • We integrate teachers and resources in the college to develop AI courses in line with world trends and strive for funds to construct AI software and hardware equipment platforms. We also encourage teachers to open AI-related courses, building a comprehensive AI development environment for teachers and students, so that future graduates will win at the starting point.

R & D Orientation

  • Assist teachers in leading students to cooperate with local enterprises in talent cultivation and basic technology. Expand the scope of the school's practical competition by inviting alumni from the enterprise sector and experts in the industry, government, education, and research to serve as assessors. Promote the development of students' practical skills, and to implement the training of students to engage in research projects that meet the needs of the industry.
  • Support and encourage faculty to form prospective research teams to develop key technologies required by the industry with input from researchers, R & D Resources, and vendors in line with school policy.
  • Properly plan and strive for R & D space in the tool machine building, cooperating with the Higher Education Sprout Project to set up a special R & D Center or Professional Technology and Service Center.
  • Integrate the faculty, Industry, and Research Institutions human resources, organizing the faculty research team, and striving for large-scale government projects
  • Assist new teachers to quickly integrate into the R & D teams, and actively promote new teachers' co-operation in production and learning. Engage senior teachers who have worked in research papers or technical upgrading to conduct regular experience sharing in order to develop a thesis and report writing skills to help senior lecturers progress to the next level or new teachers to become full-time or promoted as soon as possible.

International Orientation

  • To promote the signing of memoranda of co-operation with leading foreign technical universities or academic institutions, actively conducting students and teachers exchanges, co-organizing international seminars, and establishing a dual degree system.
  • Actively invite scholars from famous academic institutions to give lectures in order to expand the research field and improve the quality of research.
  • In collaboration with the south-bound special classes of NCUT, we actively seek for high-quality students from Southeast Asia to study in our college. We are also striving for scholarships to attract foreign students from Southeast Asia to study in Master's or Ph. D. degree in various departments of the university. Through the outstanding foreign research manpower input, we hope to enhance our R&D energy.
  • In order to enhance the international reputation of the college, we encourage the faculty to participate in international seminars to enhance the internationalization of IS3C international seminars, which is expected to be held overseas.
  • With the consensus of the college, we will decide the trend of IJ3C Journals, inviting well-known scholars to serve as editorial committee members, and actively promoting the access of IJ3C to International well-known databases within three years.
